CONFIDENTIALITY You do not need to give us your full name and we do not keep files on the contents of counselling sessions unless you ask us to. You can talk to us by phone totally anonymously.

FRESHFIELD CHILD PROTECTION CODE covers what would happen if a Freshfield worker had good grounds to believe that a child was at risk of serious harm.
1. If possible the client’s consent would for information to be passed outside the Freshfield Service would be sought.

2. If possible the worker would ask the Chief Executive or Deputy for guidance before passing on any information.

A parent’s drug use, legal or illegal, does not mean that their children are automatically at risk.


OTHER AGENCIES: Sometimes our clients want us to communicate with other agencies for them. Within limits we will do this, but we will need your consent in writing.


CO-WORKING - the Freshfield Service provides a range of confidential services. Clients access these by referring themselves. Our arrangements for co-working with third parties are clear and simple. We are happy to work with third parties according to the written instrustion of a particular client. These instructions are time limited. Clients may withdraw them at will.
